BOSTON, MA — TAG | The Art Gallery is pleased to present Weaving Connections, a TAG artist members’ exhibition unfolding simultaneously in Boston and New York City. Presented at TAG in Boston from September 4–27 and at Satellite Gallery in New York from September 21–28, the exhibition brings artists, artworks, and audiences together across two cities.

Weaving Connections reflects TAG’s commitment to building meaningful relationships through contemporary art. Featuring a diverse range of artistic voices, media, and perspectives, the exhibition considers how individual experiences become interconnected through shared spaces, creative exchange, and visual dialogue.

The title speaks to the many connections that shape an artistic community: between artists and viewers, personal stories and collective experiences, different materials and disciplines, and the cities and cultural environments in which art is presented. Although each artist brings a distinct approach, the works come together as part of a larger conversation about identity, memory, place, transformation, and belonging.

The exhibition’s two-city format expands that conversation beyond the walls of a single gallery. By presenting Weaving Connections in Boston and New York during overlapping dates, TAG creates opportunities for its artists to reach new audiences while strengthening relationships between creative communities.

The Boston presentation will open at TAG | The Art Gallery on Friday, September 4, with a public reception from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The New York presentation will open at Satellite Gallery on Thursday, September 24, and will include additional programs designed to encourage conversation, professional exchange, and community engagement.

New York programs will include a discussion about pricing and the contemporary art-world landscape, as well as Ideas Swap: Entrepreneurs in Action, an open exchange in which artists, creators, and entrepreneurs can share projects, challenges, resources, and opportunities. A closing reception will take place on Sunday, September 27.

At its heart, Weaving Connections celebrates the relationships that allow artists and communities to grow. It recognizes that art does more than occupy a space—it creates encounters, invites conversation, and builds connections that can continue long after an exhibition ends.

The public is invited to experience Weaving Connections in Boston, New York, or both cities and become part of this evolving creative dialogue.
