TAG | The Art Gallery Presents The Art of Possibility
An exhibition celebrating imagination, fresh perspectives, and the potential for transformation

TAG | The Art Gallery presents The Art of Possibility, a members group exhibition exploring the creative potential of looking beyond the familiar. On view October 2 through November 2, 2026, in Boston’s SoWa Art & Design District, the exhibition invites visitors to approach art—and everyday life—with curiosity and openness.

Every work of art begins with a possibility: a mark that might become a form, a material that might reveal an unexpected quality, or an observation that might shift the way we understand our surroundings. The Art of Possibility celebrates this willingness to explore, experiment, and discover meaning through the act of making.

Bringing together the individual perspectives of TAG’s artist members, the exhibition considers possibility as both a creative practice and a way of engaging with the world. Color, composition, texture, and imagery offer starting points for encounters that can awaken memories, challenge assumptions, and suggest new connections.

The exhibition’s optimism is grounded in the creative process itself. Artists make choices without knowing exactly where those choices will lead. They revise, reconsider, and remain attentive to what emerges. In that process, uncertainty becomes an opening for discovery.

Visitors are invited to bring that same spirit to their experience of the exhibition: to pause before an unfamiliar work, follow an unexpected association, and consider how another person’s vision might expand their own. Together, the works create space for individual reflection and shared conversation.

The Art of Possibility reflects TAG’s commitment to supporting artists and creating meaningful connections between contemporary art and the public.
