Boston, MA—The New England Art Center (NEAC) is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, TranS…FORMATION: in the pursuit of reinvention. This dynamic showcase explores the profound theme of transformation, drawing inspiration from Friedrich Nietzsche’s philosophy and diverse cultural perspectives on change, growth, and renewal.

TranS…FORMATION: in the pursuit of reinvention delves into Nietzsche’s concept of self-overcoming and the pursuit of a life marked by continuous personal development. Central to this philosophy is the idea of the “creative individual,” who transcends limitations to forge new values and meanings. Nietzsche’s vision of transformation is active reinvention, encouraging individuals to become artists of their lives, crafting their narratives with intention and creativity.

Curated to inspire and challenge, this group show features 33 TAG artists’ members exploring the many facets of transformation through an array of artistic expressions. Each piece in the exhibition represents the essence of change, capturing the artist’s journey of self-discovery and the broader human experience of continual evolution.

“Transformation is a universal theme that connects us all,” says Claudia Fiks, Founder and Director of NEAC. “This exhibition is an invitation to reflect on our growth paths and embrace the possibilities of reinvention, both as individuals and as a community.”

The works on view include photographs, paintings, mixed media, jewelry, installations, and works on glass, metal, ceramics, and wood.

The exhibition will be held at the New England Art Center’s exhibition space, TAG The Art Gallery, located in Boston’s vibrant SoWa Arts and Design District. The opening reception, artist talks, and other related events will provide opportunities for deeper engagement with the works on display and the ideas they embody.
