Music in The Art Gallery
A Musical Dialog with Guitar Player Juan Leon
At NEAC, we are proud to be a vibrant hub for arts and culture. In this spirit, we are excited to offer a variety of events that invite visitors to engage with local and regional artists, including visual artists, makers, performers, musicians, and singers. Inspired and united by creativity, we strive to create an atmosphere where art and artists thrive, fostering enriching experiences for all.
We invite you to join us for a unique afternoon where visual art inspires musical expression! Experience the enchanting Latin sounds of Juan Leon, a talented guitarist and vocalist from Chile, as he brings the art to life through his music.
Latin America has a profound understanding of uncertainty, reflected in its rich musical traditions. Juan’s performance will traverse a spectrum of forms and colors, resonating with the melodious echoes of Brazilian saudade, the Cuban son, and the Argentinean cantos, all of which explore themes of survival and resilience.
Through his captivating guitar melodies and heartfelt vocals, Juan will evoke the unexpected rhythms and syncopation of Latin American music, initiating a musical dialogue with the artworks on display at TAG Art Gallery, the exhibitors, and the audience. He will interpret a diverse repertoire, including boleros, trova, and folklore, inviting us all to connect through this artistic conversation.
Join us for this special event on Saturday, October 26, from 3 PM to 5 PM. We look forward to celebrating the synergy of art and music with you!
This event is open for all ages. Light snacks will be served, feel free to BYOB, cups will be available.
