Making Space: The Art of Sustaining Creative Hubs
In a time of rising rents, dwindling public arts funding, and growing demand for accessible and equitable opportunities, how do we continue to make space, physically, financially, and emotionally, for artists?
“Making Space” explores the urgent need to support and sustain artist-centered creative hubs. This panel brings together visionary founders, organizers, and cultural workers who are redefining what it means to hold space for art and artists. They’re not only building platforms for artistic expression but also pioneering new models of sustainability, inclusion, and resilience.
Each speaker will present their project and speak candidly about both the rewards and the realities of sustaining creative spaces, whether operating as a for-profit, nonprofit, LLC, or public institution. Despite differing structures, the challenges are often shared.
Join us to meet the leaders behind bold, community-driven initiatives. Hear their stories, contribute your ideas, and be part of a conversation about how we can strengthen and expand our creative ecosystems, together.
