TAG Gallery is proud to present “Interwoven Narratives,” a juried exhibition running from April 4 to April 27, 2025. This dynamic show brings together fiber artists exploring how textiles weave together personal, cultural, and historical narratives, forming a rich tapestry of interconnected experiences. Open to artists from across the United States, the exhibition celebrates fiber art’s ability to tell profound stories through material and technique.
An Integral Part of the Gather Symposium
As a key event within the Gather Symposium, Interwoven Narratives highlights the power of fiber and textile arts in contemporary discourse. Gather 2025 is a month-long celebration of fiber arts in Greater Boston, fostering discussions on creativity, identity, sustainability, and the evolving role of textiles in the art world.

Organized by Claudia Fiks and juried by Kate Irvin, Department Head and Curator of Costume and Textiles at the RISD Museum, Interwoven Narratives offers a compelling exploration of fiber as a storytelling medium. Irvin, a highly respected curator, oversees a world-renowned collection of 35,000 textile and fashion artifacts spanning from 1500 BCE to the present. Her curatorial expertise, including her current work on Liz Collins: Motherlode, brings a deep and dynamic perspective to contemporary fiber art. Interwoven Narratives is co-curated by guest artists Jodi Colella and Merrill Comeau, both the visionary and the driving forces behind Gather 2025, further enriching the dialogue between fiber art, community, and innovation.
